BAILA is like a spontaneous dance party that broke out in your kitchen, only if your kitchen had big wood floors, a live Salsa band, a powerful sound system, an upgraded lighting system and 200 of your friends, chosen family, and new faces ready to join the community.

At La Peña, we believe that joy and dance are forms of liberation. Movement, like dancing, is essential to our well-being, and gathering in community keeps our spirit alive.

Thats why every 3rd Friday of the month, La Peña becomes the Bay Areas most joyful and inclusive Salsa & Bachata dance floor.

Each edition of BAILA features:

• 8 PM Easy-to-follow gender-inclusive salsa and bachata dance classes
• 10 PM A live Bay Area Salsa band
• Two dance floors with live DJ sets by our resident DJs DJ José Ruíz and DJ Ron
• Food and drinks from our neighbors Los Cilantros Mexican Restaurant
• Fundraising bar that supports La Peñas programs
• FREE coat check

Everyone is welcome! All ages! BAILA is intentionally created as a safe, gender-inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming space.

• Super Early Bird - $15 (limited quantity available)
• Early Bird - $20 (available until 2 weeks prior to the event or until sold out)
• General Admission Pre-sale - $25 (available until midnight the night before the event)
